Each brush is started with a primer and finished with a high gloss sealer.  While I'd like to say the brushes are invincible, they will last in correlation with how they're handled.  Repeatably dropping the brushes on a hard surface may result in chipping, just as keeping them kept in direct sunlight may result in fading.  The brushes should require no maintenance, but please be mindful that keeping them relatively clean will help them last longer.  Thank you!
